Your event

Step 1 of 5

These questions are the ones experienced hosts already know to ask themselves. Answer what you can; anything you are unsure about is worth saying so.

What time zone will the event run in?

UTC offsets are shown for today; places that observe daylight saving change during the year.

So every time we show you is the one your audience will see. You can change it later.

What is the event called? (optional)

A working title is fine. It is only so you can tell this apart from anything else you plan with us.

What date is it? (optional)

If the date is not fixed yet, leave this blank.

What kind of event are you planning?

Fully online means everyone joins from wherever they are. Choose the second option if any part of the audience will be together in a room — that changes how the event has to be run, so it is worth being sure.

Have you run an event like this before? (optional)

What kind of help do you think you will need? (optional)

Technical setup and running the platform Hosting or presenting Moderating chat and questions Planning and preparation Nothing yet, just exploring

Choose as many as apply, or "Nothing yet" if you are still working it out. We ask again in a more detailed way further on; this is your own view of it, and the two are both useful.

How many separate sessions does the event run over?

A session is one scheduled block of time. A single talk is one; a morning and an afternoon on the same day are two; three days running are three.

Everything is saved as you go, and answering some questions brings up others. 0 of 25 answered in this section
